With the enthusiasm spirit LSM team is doing following programs for the Healthy health different community of Odisha.
Awareness Program on Malaria, Dengue, Diarrhea:
Awareness about Dengue & malaria is the better option to control vector breeding. The better awareness can be achieved through the coordinated approach of concerned Govt. organizations and stakeholders by organizing awareness campaigns and active participation of print and electronic media. Also there is a need to educate the Villagers and public etc regarding cause and effect of these diseases.
Awareness Program on HIV/AIDS:
The organization organized health awareness program in HIV/AIDS in different villages in the pre-scheduled date i.e on 1st Dec , 2016 at Barakhama Village.. Street plays were also conducted to prevent the disease. Victims of red areas were counseled secretly. Cause and effect of the disease is elaborately explained to people of the villager. Besides leaflets are distributed to the public and pamphlets are pasted on the wall for retention of focal points of the disease in their memory. It creates a good impact on villagers regarding awareness on HIV /AIDS disease.
Awareness Program on TB & Cancer:
Tuberculosis (TB) remains an important health problem in the Tribal belt . Recent studies have highlighted the importance of increasing awareness of TB and reducing the associated stigmas to reduce the incidence of TB and enable earlier diagnosis and effective treatment. This awareness program provides the knowledge and beliefs about transmission, symptoms and treatment of TB as well as attitudes towards patients with TB among the Tribal People of Kandhamal district of Odisha.
