Awareness on Plantation:
The benefits of trees are unlimited. They are the strongest shield against the harms of air pollution. They strengthen soil. They resist natural calamities especially floods. They provide the shadow. They lessen the heat of temperature. They enhance the beauty of surrounding. They bring optimism in people living around them. They give fruits, herbs, vegetables. So it is necessary to keep conducting tree plantation campaigns everywhere across the globe. It is the duty of all to launch such campaigns at local level. Governments, communities, industries, businesses, educational institutions, media, NGOs and people have to play their role to support tree plantation campaigns at their area. Alike LSM also organized a tree plantation awareness camp.
Awareness program on Sunstroke:
Now days heat by Sun and heat wave increasing rapidly. Sunstroke or Heatstroke needs immediate treatment or remedy. Many people face Sunstroke and feel sick during heavy heat wave (Loo). One should know its causes, symptoms and quick treatment/ Home Remedies to prevent Sunstroke or Heat Stroke. This awareness was made during heat summer by the organization
Children Development Program:
In deed Children are backbone of our society. Children’s development in both physical & mental leads to generate creativity and innovative skill in their mind. Keeping view their development the organization organized different skill development program in computer learning, computer game , physical game , playing etc. these program were conducted in each Sunday of a week. This program stood very effective to the children
Gender Equalization Program:
Gender equality is achieved when women and men enjoy the same rights and opportunities across all sectors of society, including economic participation and decision-making, and when the different behaviors, aspirations and needs of women and men are equally valued and favored. Gender equality is a human right. Women are entitled to live with dignity and with freedom from want and from fear. Gender equality is also a precondition for advancing development and reducing poverty: Empowered women contribute to the health and productivity of whole families and communities, and they improve prospects for the next generation. This program creates equality with both male & female and there is no discrimination in between male and female.
Betti Bachao Andolan:
Beti Bachao Andolan program is a nationwide scheme launched purposefully to address the issue of decreasing girl child ratio in the society as well as empowering girl child in the country. This Program is to make people aware of the importance of girl child in the Indian society as well as bring some positive changes in the people mindset towards girl child. People in the Indian society have very rude mindset about the girl child. They think that girls are like burden in their life that only need to take whole life from their parents or husbands and never give.
Workshop on RTI:
The Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005 is a benchmark development in the process of creating transparency and accountability in the administrative system. Before the enactment of the RTI Act, the Indian Parliament had enacted the Freedom of Information Act in 2002 that also conferred the right on citizens of India to seek information on any matter relating to public policy. However, the precursor to the RTI did not make as great an impact as the RTI did. Today, after 10 years of implementation, the legislation still ensures transparency, freedom of speech and expression, accountability and regulation. This legislation is a lethal weapon, which can help divulge important pieces of information with immense ease and precision. The Act confers on all the citizens the right to access information and, correspondingly, makes the dissemination of such information an obligation of the public authority. The state, autonomous bodies and certain statutory bodies are empowered to make rules about the payment of charges etc. in accordance with the statute to provide information. Nevertheless, the changes in the legislation over the years have been overhauling with tremendous impact on the level of prevalence and outcome which the statute could have attained. To understand the effectiveness of RTI Act both as a tool of public policy and as a progressive legislative experiment, a workshop will be organized by the Living Stone Ministry on 23rd of January, 2016. It shall focus on the objectives of Right to Information Act, 2005 whose aim is to provide for setting out a viable regime of right to information for citizens and to secure access to such information under the control of various public authorities
Awareness on Girls Child:
Women are the most important section of the society and equally participate in the life existence on the earth. However, regular decrease in the sex ratio of female in India because of the crimes against women, it has created the fear of total finish of women. So, it is very necessary to save girl child in order to maintain the ratio of women in India. It has been a most important problem as a social awareness in the Indian society which youths of the country must know about. In order to enhance knowledge regarding girl child, the organization organized distributed some leaflets among public to share knowledge how to save girl child.
Road Safety Awareness Program:
Road safety is a safety measure to reduce the risk of road accidents and road side injury because of the mistakes of people while driving on the road. We cannot count the daily road side accidents and death of people because of the driving mistakes and lack of road traffic rules followers. Every person going on the road has risk of injury or death. Such as pedestrians, motorists, cyclists, passengers, etc. Everyone needs to be well aware of the road traffic rules especially children and young people who are at significant road accident risks. According to the statistics (World Health Organization, 2008), it is found that most of the hospitalization cases and leading cause of death are because of the road trauma. To make aware the public regarding road accident, awareness program arranged by the organization during road safety week of the year 2016.
Workshop on Adoption Program:
In India, an Indian, Non Resident Indian (NRI), or a foreign citizen may adopt a child. There are specific guidelines and documentation for each group of prospective adoptive parents. A single female or a married couple can adopt a child. In India, a single male is usually not eligible to be an adoptive parent. A single man desiring to adopt a child may be eligible if he applies through a registered agency. However, he will still only be able to adopt a male child. These rules and principles regarding adopting of a child was sensitized by the Organization LSM during the month of December 2015.
Public Water Supply:
During heat summer in April, May & June the organization supply water to the panther and visitor by opening Jalchatra in the Different place of Barakhama Village.
Observation of National Day/ function:
Like each year the organization observes different national days like Independence day on 15th August, Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October, New Year’s day, Republic day on 26th Jan etc. Besides the above national day it also observed different odiya festivals like, Good Friday, Mohoraum , Idul Juha, X-mas etc.
